Debkanta Patra

Debkanta Patra is a French faculty at La Forêt French Class, who focuses on a communicative and learner-centered approach. Having taught French for over four years, he has taught students from diverse backgrounds through regular classes, freelancing, and working with an NGO. He has a DELF B2 certificate and an M.A. in French Literature. Debkanta has a passion for languages and the subject matter. He is fluent in Bengali, English, Hindi, French, and Spanish.

Debkanta teaches students preparing for the TCF and TEF exams, Business French, French for Beginners, and DELF/DALF. His classes are engaging, interesting, and enjoyable, incorporating technology, cultural activities, and practical exercises. 

For Debkanta, the joy of teaching goes beyond imparting knowledge. It is the joy of passing on the language and culture, which have inspired him. According to Debkanta, “Each class is an opportunity to see students develop and progress, not only in knowledge but also in curiosity, and creativity.” He is also in charge of creating interesting and engaging lesson plans, regular assessment, catering to the individual needs of the students through games and practical activities.

In his free time, Debkanta enjoys reading novels. One interesting fun fact about him is when he first started learning French, he used to act out the pronunciation in front of the mirror and his parents thought he was either preparing for a play or had lost his mind!
