TEF Monde is a comprehensive manual designed for candidates preparing for the TEF (Test d’Évaluation du Français), TEFaQ (for Quebec), and TEF Canada, specifically focusing on the oral expression test. Authored by TEF professor and examiner Brian Burzynski, the guide provides essential insights into the test format, evaluation criteria, and common pitfalls to avoid. It includes 100 oral expression topics, detailed corrections, and teaching methods for instructors. With practical exercises and strategies, this manual ensures effective preparation for both candidates and teachers, promoting a successful testing experience.
Words From The Author (Brian Burzynski): I am a TEF teacher and examiner and I have noticed that in the vast majority of cases, candidates, but also French teachers, do not have all the essential information about the TEF. You will discover through this manual that what you think you know about the TEF may be wrong . Also, many French teachers teach the TEF incorrectly because they have obtained wrong or outdated information . This is why I decided to set the record straight for both candidates and teachers. I regularly receive candidates that I would rate B2 in a normal conversation, but who, in a TEF simulation, would be rated B1+ because of incorrect TEF teaching, what a shame! The Internet and social networks can be very useful, but when preparing for the TEF, the wrong information risks making you fail , again and again.
This manual is very useful both for candidates, but also for teachers and language schools .
